Author’s Note
In retrospect, I considered taking this article down; I wrote this in a very emotional and desperate mindset. Which is about as wise as reasoning while drunk. Although I knew that Israel would respond with extreme violence, I felt as though if I yelled loudly enough (or wrote hastily enough) that I might be able to convince people to not beat the war drums. I know that doesn’t make sense because no one reads this crap, but feelings don’t always listen to reason—Blaise Pascal once said, “The heart has its reasons of which reason knows nothing.” So, whilst not my proudest work, I decided to leave it online because I have hang-ups about using the delete button to curate my corpus. To document and notice improvement, it requires a record of the imperfect past. I hope that in a few years I’ll have come so far I’ll able to cringe at all the stuff I’m writing now. That said, I have a better piece about Israel which I prefer you’d read:
